（一） 在美國過聖誕節(Christmas in America)
Christmas is the most important festival in the western world. It falls on December 25th. When my mother and I stayed in America, we were invited by one of my mother's friends to have Christmas with an American family. We bought some presents for our American friends on our way to their house.
They had prepared different kinds of gifts for their family and guests when we got to their house, such as Christmas candles, cakes, cards, little toys, biscuits and so on. A Christmas tree was placed in the comer of the brilliant hall. How beautiful it was! We were impressed by these. We had a big meal. After dinner, they told us some interesting stories about Christmas. We learned that Christmas had something to do with God. We went to bed at midnight. Though we knew the Santa Claus was not true, we were still waiting for the Santa Claus with white beard to bring us we received many beautiful presents the next morning.
This Christmas was really unforgettable. Not only did I have a good time, but also I knew something about foreign culture.
12月25日的聖誕節是西方國家最重要的節日。我和媽媽在美國的時候，曾應媽媽的一位朋友邀請，去一個美國家庭過聖誕節。在去他家的途中，我們爲美國朋友買了一些禮物。
我們到時，他們已爲家人及客人們準備了各種各樣的禮物，有聖誕蠟燭、蛋糕、卡片、小玩具和餅乾等。聖誕樹放在燈火通明的客廳的一角，實在是太莢了。這一切給我們留下了深刻的印象。我們吃了一頓大餐。飯後，他們給我們講了一些聖誕節的故事，我們知道了聖誕節與上帝有關。我們午夜時分才上牀睡覺。儘管我們知道聖誕老人不是真的`，但還是等待着白鬍子的聖誕老人爲我們送來禮物。第二天早晨我們收到了許多漂亮的禮物。
這個聖誕節實在太令人難以忘懷了。我不僅過得很愉快，還了解了外國文化。
（二）我的英語老師 Our English Teacher
We have a good English teacher whose name is Bruce. He comes from Britain and he is about forty years old. He is a tall and thin person, wearing a pair of glasses which makes him more like a gentleman.
He is strict with us. He often makes full preparations for his class and corrects our homework carefully. His teaching style is very unique, because he is used to encouraging all of us to think by ourselves and study on our own. The relationship between Bruce and us is harmonious. He is so kind and friendly that every student likes him and respects him deeply.
Our teacher is so excellent that we all love him very much.
我們有一個很好的英語老師，他的名字叫Bmce。他來自英國，大約40歲。他是一個又高又瘦的人，戴着一副眼鏡，這使他顯得更有紳士風度。
他總是嚴格要求我們。他經常認真備課，認真爲我們批改作業。他的教學風格很是與衆不同，這是由於他總是習慣鼓勵學生努力思考，並且培養我們的自學能力。我們之間的關係很融洽。他對人和藹可親，所以深受我們的愛戴和尊敬。
我們的老師很出色，我們都很喜歡他。
Our English teacher, Bruce, is from Britain. He is forty years old or so. He is a tall and thin man, wearing a pair of glasses.
Bruce is very strict with us. He always makes full preparations for his classes and corrects our homework carefully. His teaching style is quite different from that of other teachers. He always encourages all of us to think by ourselves and learn on our own. Now our ability to study independently has been greatly improved.
Bruce has been getting along very well with all of us. He is so kind and friendly to us that we all love him and respect him deeply.
我們的英語老師Bmce是位英國人。40歲左右，又高又瘦，戴着一副眼鏡。
Bmce總是嚴格要求我們。他總是認真備課，認真批改作業。他的教學方法與衆不同，他總是鼓勵我們獨立思考、自學。現在我們的自學能力都得到很大的提高。
Bmce和我們相處得非常融洽。他對我們和藹可親，我們都很尊敬他，愛戴他。
（三）去西山植樹
根據中文設置的情景和英文提示詞語，寫出語法正確，意思連貫的句子。所給的英文提示詞語必須都用上。
上星期日，我們乘車去西山植樹。一些學生種樹，其他學生……

It was fine last Sunday. We went to West Hill by bus. Some students planted trees, others carried water. Because we worked hard, we were tired, but we felt happy. We all know trees can stop the wind from blowing the sand towards the city, and they can make the city beautiful.
上週日天氣很好。我們乘車去西山。一些學生種樹，其他人擡水。因爲我們的努力，我們都很累，但我們感到高興。我們都知道樹木可以阻止風吹砂對城市，而且可以使城市美麗。
（四）Talking about Having Sports 談論運動
David： Susan, you like sports, don’t you?
Susan： Yes. I have sports every afternoon.
David： Do you often go swimming?
Susan： Yes, I go swimming once a week.
David： I used to swim at middle school, but I don’t have time any more.
Susan： That’s too bad! Exercise is very important.
David： I know. I am getting fat, you see. Anyway, I don’t want to be heavy.
Susan： Well, I’m going to swim this afternoon. Do you want to go with me?
David： OK! I really need more exercises. When and where shall we meet?
Susan： How about three o’clock, at the swimming-pool?
David： All right. Good-bye!
Susan： Good-bye!
大衛:蘇珊,你喜歡運動,不是嗎?

（五）A Diary 日記
下午數學考試，你成績不好，心情鬱悶。晚上幾個好朋友邀
你去歌廳(KTV)唱歌，你們一晚上唱得很盡興。你用日記的形式
記錄下你今天的活動及感受。
日記須包括以下幾個要點：
1.下午的數學考試你的成績不佳，心情一直不好。
2.晚上同學邀請你去KTV唱歌，這是你第一次去KTV。
3.大家唱得彳艮高興，而你一直當聽衆，你覺得你的歌唱得不好，不敢唱。
4.在大家的鼓勵下，你終於拿起麥克風(microphone)，唱了一首英文歌曲“I believe I can fly”。
5.現在你的心情舒暢了;更重要的是：你找回了自信(selfconfidence)。
6.你在日記中對自己說了這樣一句話：“……”
注意：
1.詞數100左右。
2.日記必須包括所有要點，但可以用不同的句式表達。

A Diary
May 20,20xx Friday Sunny
This evening I went to the KTV with some of my good friends.
This was the first time that I had been to a KTV. At first I didn't want to go. I had been in a bad mood the whole afternoon because I didn't do well in the math exam. At the KTV, everybody sang his favourite songs very happily except me. I was the only one of the audience.
I didn't dare to have a try. Because I was afraid that I couldn't sing well. Encouraged by my classmates, I picked up the microphone and sang an English song "I believe I can fly"
I have become cheerful now and above all I've regained selfconfidence. I believe that the worst enemy in one's life is oneself. I shouldn't lose heart just because of one or two failures. Because I still have chances to try.

今天晚上我和我的一些好朋友去KTV。
這是我第一次去KTV。起初我不想去。整個下午我都心情不好，因爲我數學考試不好。在KTV，大家唱着自己喜歡的歌曲，除非我很開心。我是唯一的一個觀衆。
我不敢去嘗試。因爲我怕我唱不好。鼓勵我的同學，我拿起麥克風唱了一首英文歌“我相信我能飛”
現在我的心情舒暢了，我找回了自信。我相信一個人一生中最可怕的敵人就是自己。我不應該因爲一個或兩個失敗而失去信心。因爲我還有機會去嘗試。
