萬聖節又叫諸聖節，在每年的11月1日，是西方的傳統節日;而萬聖節前夜的10月31日是這個節日最熱鬧的時刻[1] 。萬聖節來源說法很多。教科書上的記錄是古代凱爾特民族(Celtic)的新年節慶，此時也是祭祀亡魂的`時刻，在避免惡靈干擾的同時，也以食物祭拜祖靈及善靈以祈平安度過嚴冬。當天晚上，小孩們會穿上化妝服，戴上面具，挨家挨戶收集糖果。
