英語日期的`寫法有兩種：
（1）先寫某日,次寫月份,最後寫年份.某日用序數詞的縮寫形式；除May , June和July三個月份外,其餘各月份均可縮寫；年份均用阿拉伯數字書寫,但不能把“1991”縮寫成“91”等.例如：
August 2006
（2）先寫月份,次寫某日,最後寫年份.用這種寫法比較普遍.某日用基數詞,也可用序數詞的縮寫形式,但後邊須加逗號.例如：
August 22,2006
August ,2006
如果在的書端裏要寫星期的話,可將其寫在日期的前面或後面.例如：
Tuesday,August ,2006
August 22nd ,2006,Tuesday
