Ss look the pictures and guess what the animal is.

1. Some resolutions have to do with better planning, … 有些決定與合理的時間規劃相關,……

1) 此句中的planning爲名詞,表示“計劃;規劃”等意思,如:city planning(城市規劃)等。英語中better planning類似漢語中的“合理規劃”,指通過制定計劃來更加充分的利用時間、空間、精力等。

2) have to do with這個結構表示“與……相關;與……有關聯或有關係”。例如:What does this problem have to do with what we’re learning today?

這道題跟我們今天所學的內容有什麼關係?

2. Sometimes the resolutions may be too difficult to keep.

有時這些決定可能會太難而無法實現。

此處情態動詞may表示推測,相當於漢語的“可能;或許;大概”之意。又如:You may be right this time, but I’m not sure. 這一次你或許是對的,但我無法確定。

2) 英語中too…to…是一種固定結構,表示“太……而不能夠……”。又如:

The kid is too young to play this game.

這孩子太小,不能玩這個遊戲。

3) 本句中的動詞keep意爲“履行(諾言等);遵守(慣例等)”,這是keep的常見用法之一。類似的句子還有:

People hardly ever keep them!

人們很少履行它們(指計劃)。

在這一語義下,常見的表示還有keep a promise(信守諾言),keep one’s word(遵守承諾;說話算數)等。如:

We always keep our word.

我們說話是算數的。
