一、教學內容及分析

單元以生活中發生的有趣事情及富有科普意義的不明飛行物UFO作爲話題,其語言功能是談論過去發生的事情,學會講故事,進而培養學生熱愛科學、探索科學、熱愛生活的情感。是在學習了一般過去時態和現在進行時態的基礎上,通過講故事的方式,學習過去進行時態,繼續鞏固一般過去時態,學習when、while引導的時間狀語從句,進而加深對一般過去時態和過去進行時態意義的理解和應用。

Section A:活動1a至2c主要通過聽說的方式,描述UFO的發生過程, 在情景中呈現並學習了過去進行時態的意義及其結構,學習了when和while引導的時間狀語從句。活動3a至活動4通過讀寫的方式,通過任務驅動,講述了UFO故事的結尾,然後通過小組交流活動,應用鞏固過去進行時態。

Section B:在Section A的基礎上進一步昇華,應用前面學習的知識談論學生身邊常發生的'事情,增強語言的真實實用性,教材編排按照先聽說後讀寫循序漸進的方式,便於學生掌握和鞏固。

Self Check目的是檢測重點詞彙、目標語言的應用,是學生單元複習和小結的指南。

教材以循序漸進的方式逐步呈現、操練、鞏固、提高和複習新的語言,通過任務驅動的方式,從生活中來,到生活中去,體現語言的工具性和交際性。聽、說、讀、寫貫穿整個學習過程,讓學生體驗合作交流的學習方式,感受語言學習之樂。

二、學習者特徵分析

本單元的主要目標是學習掌握過去進行時態,鞏固應用一般過去時態,學會講故事或描述身邊發生的事情,它是在學生已經學習了現在進行時態和一般過去時態的基礎上繼續學習的。對於八年級的學生,學生已經有了一定的詞彙量,特別是要用好多的動詞,學生有了一定的基礎,這樣便於教學內容的突破;更好的是教材選編了一些富有科普意義的UFO,更能激發學生的好奇心和學習興趣,所以本單元的學習,學生應該能輕鬆的掌握。

四、重點難點

理解和掌握過去進行時態的意義功能,能區別一般過去時態和過去進行時態意義,熟悉句子結構,能應用運用這兩種時態;掌握when,while的用法和區別及其引導的條件狀語從句。

五、教法選擇、學法指導與資源準備

根據學生特點及其對基礎知識的掌握、教材編排特點以及語言教學的特徵,我準備將教材作如下整合。第一課時,先從現在進行時態引出過去進行時態,兩種時態對比,加深學生對兩種時態的理解和知識間的前後聯繫,然後進行操練,進而教學when和while的用法,加深鞏固和理解,接着教學Section B 1,2a,2b,2c;第二課時教學UFO專題,完成Section A;第三課時安排閱讀複述教學,將教學內容進行昇華;第四課時進行故事編排的寫作教學,並進行單元複習小結,完成Self Check。採用以下教學法:情景創設呈現語言教學法、活動交流交際法、視聽法、讀寫法、任務型語言教學法、成果分享教學,自學探究教學法等。培養學生自學探究意識,對學到的知識應該加以歸納、分析、比較,找出異同點;加強對新語言的操練。
