一、小學英語話題寫作的概念
小學高年級的英語寫作是指學生能在教師指導下，圍繞一個主題自覺運用所學的單詞、句型起草一篇短小的習作或一兩段話，初步能注意英漢的差異，能使用正確的英語表達法。
二、英語寫作教學的目的
1、提高學生綜合運用語言的能力；

前兩種寫法的缺點是侷限較大，不能發揮學生創造力，習作不能體現學生個性。啓示式寫法是在學生有了一定習作基礎和語感上，稍高層次的寫作訓練。師生共同圍繞一個話題討論寫作內容，列出寫作提綱，然後學生根據提綱自由發揮起草一段話。例如，師生圍繞“zoo animals”這個話題進行討論，得出可從“外形、能力、生活習性，來源國”等幾方面進行描述。學生自由發揮，寫出頗具個人特色小文章。此法的優點是既可體現學生個性，也避免學生跑題等現象的發生。

四、注重寫作策略的指導
1、“聯繫”和“遷移”
在寫作課“zoo animals”上，我讓學生討論這個主題可以涵括的內容，要求學生在已有的詞彙、句型中進行分析，提取相關信息，再綜合運用。實際上就是要求學生聯繫所學知識，是對學生分析綜合能力的訓練。這時候，學生認爲這足以能指導完成寫作了，他們的思維通常到這個階段就停滯不前了。但教師還應該培養學生遷移的能力，即把這種思考方式遷移到其他內容的寫作上去，做到舉一反三。
2、注意英漢差異，正確使用英語表達法
