I Listen to the teacher carefully and write the important points down on my notebooks. After class I revise the lessons. Before class I prepare new lessons to find out the questions. Then I will listen carefully in class.
I also listen to the tape, and speak English with my classmates in the classroom and on the playground. It’s to improve my listening and speaking.
I keep a diary every day to practise my written English.

Father used to be a heavy smoker. He always smoked when he waswatching TV,reading newspapers and so on. Mother and I had advised him to quit smoking many times. Though he knew smoking was harmful to health,he still said that smoke could make his head sober when he was sleepy. This lasted for a long time until one thing happening today changed his mind.
Today,when we were having supper,a loud cry from our neigh-bour's house reached us. We didn't know what had happened,so father decided to go to the neighbour's room to have a look. After a while,he came back and told us in an upset voice, "Mr. Wang died several minu-tes ago, "“Why? "Mother asked. Father didn't answer but picked out all of his cigarettes and threw them away. Then he saw the old woman's stick and a good idea came to him. He tried hard to tie the stick to the handle of the umbrella. Then the umbrella was long enough for both of them. The old woman thanked him again and again. Then they went on walking home.
